Pink Stuff
The Pink Stuff can be
used under “normal” circumstances and is a great all-around
sequestering agent. It works by grabbing and removing metallic
contaminants through the pool’s filtration system.
While The Pink Stuff will
work on a variety of things, it is most effective on iron and is
generally used with Stain Solution #1 in stain removal treatments. If
you fill your pool with well water and don’t have a high TDS, The Pink
Stuff is for you. The Pink Stuff can also be used if you don’t have a
pool heater and know that copper is not a problem for you.
Unlike most stain
preventatives, The Pink Stuff is chlorine tolerant under normal
conditions. Most products require you to lower the chlorine level in
order for the product to be effective... not with ours. Also, Jack’s
Magic is the only company that actually has a test kit designed to
measure the amount of it’s sequestering agents so you can determine
exactly how much to add to maintain appropriate levels.
- "The Pink Stuff" is not
recommended as a stain removal product by itself.
- Aids in the prevention of
metal stains & scale in new pools, and will help remove stains and
scale in older pools.

The Purple Stuff is a one-of-a-kind stain preventative for use
specifically with salt chlorine generating systems. Traditional
sequestering agents simply can’t handle the demand that high salt and
high TDS (total dissolved solids) put on them. Most products are not
